SO im brand new to this game and trying to figure the spell/skill system out. I Just got the the point where I got a bunch of recipies for a variety of things and found I could craft a few journeymen level spells for my class (necro). Anyways I make some and they are all weaker then my apprentice level spells. I noticed the journeyman level spells are level one and the old ones I had are level 15 or so. Do I need to level my new spell up somehow or do i need to make a more powerful journeymen spell somehow?

Can someone help me understand how this system works? Hours of surfing the forums and google have failed me =(.

You have to be the same tradeskill level as the level of spell you are trying to craft. If the journeyman spells you can craft are currently worse than the apprentice spells you have then they must be lower level spells. As you level up your tradeskill class (sage) you will be able to make higher level spells that are better than your apprentice spells.

Make sure you are making the correct version. All the spells in EQ2 now follow along the lines of Pet, Pet II, Pet III etc.. Sounds like you made yourself the 1st spell you got in that particular spell line.

As mentioned above, you need to increase your tradeskill level and acquire the recipe books that you need. There are now great tradeskill quests that can get you all the way to 30+ while getting rares at each tradeskill tier.

EQ2 traders has great write ups on all things tradeskill. http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/n...tr=010000000000
