Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum for this.

I was doing the solo Iceshard keep mission Treasure of the Kromzek. I got the mission, zoned in and made my way to the Brew house to get the keg of coldain spirits. I went to the exact spot that the three kegs are normally on the ground and there was nothing there. I tried adjusting graphics settings lighting etc., but no matter what there was no keg to pick up. I tried leaving the instance, deleting the quest and starting over, but still the same thing. I camped in the instance because I had to stop playing.

When next I logged in, I happened to be on a different computer. I logged into the instance, and the keg on the ground was there. Out of curiousity, I camped again logged on the original computer - no keg. So long story short, same character same instance etc., on one computer can see and pick up the keg, on the other computer there is simply nothing there.

Any idea what causes this and how to rectify? Both computers can run the same graphics settings, and were connected to the same router (ie connection speed etc.) As far as I can tell, they both have the same launcher loaded.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Let's start with the basic cache/configuration clearing instructions.

You may want to make backups and then delete the following files and folders:

cache folder

eq2_recent.ini

eq2_default.ini

EverQuest2.exe

eq2.ini

As well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:

Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.ini

Stationname_characters.ini

To do this, please follow these directions:

1. First look for your EverQuest II Extended directory. You can find the default directory in (for Windows XP): C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II (for Windows Vista/7): C:UsersPublicSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest II

2. Click on MY COMPUTER and then proceed into local disk C:

3. Navigate your way to the default directory, or your chosen installation directory.

4. Next look for any files explained above and delete them.

5. Afterwards, please start EverQuest II to have these files re-downloaded by the patcher.

If deleting these files does not resolve your issue, you can restore your backed up files and folders and retain your hotkeys, contact lists, and display settings.

Thanks for the response!

This only happens on my office PC - which I won't get back to until Monday - but I wanted to thank you for the suggestions. I'll try them when I get back.
