<p>I will be sad if they do away with them. I am one of the few who enjoyed last years reward. I guess as long as they don't try to take away what we have been given so far I will survive. But it is the one thing I look forward to every year from SOE.</p><p>I do think it should not be a house this year. I love my manor dearly and had it fully decorated within weeks of getting it. But it was not everyones cup of tea. It needs to be a unique item again I think. Something along the lines of the Orb of Concentrated Memories or Call of Veteran.</p>

<p>First of all, i like the idea of having a package like the first few years had and could include:</p><p>something cosmetic - like armor or housing</p><p>something practical - like vet call / debt reduction, etc.</p><p>some potions</p><p>As far as idea for rewards, i really hope it's something practical like</p><p>- portable AA mirror (already been suggested)</p><p>- subclass change item (usable once every 24 hours) - it takes like 2 hours to betray, so not like this would be overpowering in this day and age.  perhaps it can have some prerequisite that you had to betray each way at least once to use.</p><p>- "XP/AA Collector" an item that spawns a Heirloom "XP/AA container" so all the XP/AAxp that is going to waste on your maxed out character could fill up this container and the container can then be passed to an alt.  There is already a +xp item that drops from PQs, so it's not anything unthinkable.   It would probably be capped at 1 level / AA per container and one container spawn per 24 hours.  Would help veterans get all those alts up to spec <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

In any case, whether it's called a veteran reward or not, there's nothing wrong with throwing out ideas for what we'd like to see on the 'veteran reward store.' All I want is for it NOT to be SC or a different currency to spend on the current marketplace. Portable AA mirror or a second in-home placeable mirror? Thumbs up. More housing? I would agree that an 8 year reward is not likely to happen, but I'm not going to say that SOE has already said it isn't going to happen...especially when the thread has productive potential whether they change the approach to the idea or not. "Vet rewards" seem to be going forward, just not in the same way they have in the past.</p>

Don't really care</p></blockquote><p>Let's read the whole statement, which you apparently didn't bother to read.  He said probably not.  Then he said he wanted to move to a system with points (like EQ).  He ended with "We might get to the 8th reward first though".  This indicates that they might not get the system in place before 8th year hits and they give a veteran reward.</p><p>I have no idea where your interpretation comes from.  They have provided veteran rewards every year and are committed to continue to do so.  Interpreting that there will be no reward of any sort is not consistent with reality.</p>

<p>I was at the FF semnar and was not pleased with what SJ had to say. I want my 8th year vet award, and I want it to be something really special. Unfortunately, there are many folks who are not long time subcribers who are jealous of those of us who have been loyal patrons from day one. We patrons may not be in agreement over what is a special reward, but I sincerely doubt that most of us want to be delegated to points earned players versus honered veterans.  Its all well to not intimidate new players, but to shaft vets is not aceptable either.</p>

<p>this is what i just offer the chance for everyone to think and vote, something not too drastic measure like mistmoor estates gift, that gift was bit too elite.</p><p>let think something little more standard ideal gift.</p><p>new shard packs, (voids, marks, and primals), not decided how many? maybe 5 shards or 10 shards?</p><p>3 uses "repair kits"</p><p>(no to pocket chrono) that cheating to bypass the local trash mobs and click when seeing the nameds.</p><p>we just need to make devs go back to basic veteran for nice consumables, or cloak, maybe the cool pets, Hmmmm, how about that band of singing bards in Kaladar?, or how about new furnitures or house items.</p>
