I am getting a critical error when I try to login that says:

Next Pointer of Block is corrupted (Alloc: 00DA93B7)

I am currently running Win Vista 64-bit.

I saw a post earlier that stated this was an issue with loading guild halls which leads me to believe that the statement was premature and that that person did not have a full grasp on the issue. This started today following the patch, and from reading the forums out there, I know I am not the only one.

I did restart today and noticed that my CHDSK was running without me prompting it to, and it was finding corruption issues with a nektulos file and another zone file it seemed. Hope that information helps.

Can I get a reply to this? Is this a known issue? Is this something on my end? Does this mean its time to build a new machine and I can use this an excuse to tell the wifey it's time to upgrade =D

That's typically an index issue with your hard drive. I.e. that hard drive is failing or the data on it has become corrupt.

I would run a chkdsk /f, check the SMART status, then bug that wife to get you a new one!

Joking aside, it could be as bad as a broken hard drive, and as harmless as a corrupt index file that a chkdsk /f and a reboot should fix.
