<p>Would dule class worke in EQ2, some thing like  fighter/ mage , fighter/ priest, fighter/ scout, ext.</p><p>If so what restriction would go with it.</p><p>In ADD, at one time a human could dule class but if fighter/mage, could not use mage spell if in armor other then cloth.</p><p>There may have be other restriction to.</p>

<p>Personally I don't think a dual class system would work, because the class is so much of the players identity.</p><p>If a player is a Guardian then they are a defensive tank and a shield for the group, a warlock is a mage that specialises in area of effect poisons and diseases, a ranger is a character that dies first on every fight etc</p><p>So unless the dual classes were adding in completely new classes any addition of them here would just effectively merge and remove some of the distinctiveness of the current classes.  Its one reason I'm not at all interested in other games where you can be a fighter/cleric/assassin/thief... </p><p>In reality that character and all the other characters in the game just are not anything in particular, and a RPG where everyone is a jack of all trades might be a ok game, but it will be a very poor and shallow RPG.</p>
