HELP! Just had an ATI Radeon 6870 card installed and can't run the game worth a hoot! FPS fluctuates from 2 to 25...plus lag. Had a GeForce 9800 GT that did fine but was told my GIGABYTE motherboard wouldn't support the new nvidia cards. I am not a techy and need some help here. I can take technical info with my computer to the Computer Clinic to help them solve the problem or should I have them replace this card with something else?

System: GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P (Motherboard)

AMD Phenom IIx2 Duel Core 3.1 GHX (Processor)

Thanks! All advice appreciated, I am totally lost here.

Strange - I have a 6850 flashed to a 6870 and much better framerates with very high graphics settings. It only drops to 20ish values in cities with many people around (e.g. Gorowyn with the current city festival).

might be some driver problems if you didn't reinstall windows when you swapped gfx. try searching for driver cleaner or something and uninstall the nvidia drivers properly if so. also, running the latest drivers from amd's website?

what graphic settings do you run in game?
