My wife is having some issues on her laptop. I suspect they are streaming launcher related, though I'm not sure. The first thing is, she can't see the prestige portal objects in SQ. I saw another post with this issue, but I'm not sure it was the same issue. She bought a house, but can't get in to it.

The second issue is that she can't click or interact with anything while she is in Antonica. She can tab target, and then interact. She can't click anything with the mouse though. This includes any object you would click on; including NPCs, PCs, doors, nodes, and etc. If she can't tab target it, she can't interact at all. All other zones seem to work fine.

I don't know if the issues are related. I do know the second has been going on for months. It's pretty well to the point that she won't log on except to check the broker.

No one can tell me anything? I tried running a full scan from options. At least I think I did

Edit: I tried renamimg the assestcache file. I had read that deleting it was one option that might help. Now she can't log in at all. Gets to the load screen where the character is going into game, than crashes.

Ok. I deleted the assetcache, and let it re-download. She still can't click on anything in Antonica. This affects every toon used on her computer. Oddly, she can click on the door to Stormhold. Nothing else we have found. Also, mobs are mostly still floating on her pc. I think only Antonica is affected. Mobs, glowies, nodes, and etc. They all randomly float and are unclickable. If there is something I should be trying, I'd really like to know. If this is the wrong forum, I'd like to know. This issue is making Antonica unplayable for her. As far as the prestige portals, we haven't even checked them again.

Ok. Still no answer of any kind. After deleting assetcache and re-downloading, she still has the same issues. That, and she has some armors as well as the pegasus type flying mounts with no appearance. This is after letting the game update all night and saying it was done. What steps should I be taking to get this to work? What else should I try?

Thanks for the reply. She has several new assets that havn't wanted to download. She can't see some armor, or the mounts from Tinkerfest.

We do recommend running a full scan from the LaunchPad as well as visiting ATI.com to download the latest drivers for your video card and operating system combination.

Make sure she is using our latest LaunchPad linked below. I recommend the full download version and it can be seamlessly installed over any previous patch method's EQII game folder to avoid re-downloading the game files you already have.

[EQII] LaunchPad

Trying to install the full client. I assure you, it is not seamless over the streaming launcher. It downloaded ten gigs worth of paks, then decided it was the streamer and invited me to press play. I renamed the assetcache file again, just for giggles. It wanted to install a new one. I couldn't tell any difference from the streamer. Tried installing again, just ended up with the streamer. After that, I had epic battle with it, renaming and deleting files I thought might be causing this behavior. I fought and fought, but ended up crushed, bleeding, and crying like a little girl. I have finally just made a new folder and have it going into that. Fingers crossed.

Edited for typos. Surely understandable after this crushing defeat at the hands of the install that will not die.

Edit #2: It has fully downloaded, and all seems well. Things in Antonica that are supposed to float do, and those that aren't, don't. She can click on things. Prestige portals are clickable. I have to wonder, is the streaming launcher supported? It seems rather buggy and fairly craptastic. In any case, thanks for the help.

LaunchPad 3 comes in two flavors, streaming and full, as you already know.

What I stated above was seamless from any Previous patch method, not the same version's alter-ego, so to speak.

The situation created now is a messy one. I would typically recommend moving the PAKS folder out, uninstalling the streaming/full patchers, then reinstalling just the full download version. Once reinstalled, move the PAKS folder back in and you wont redownload anything in there you already have. I know you've pretty much already accomplished this, but just for clarities sake.

To clarify, I did pretty well exactly what you said. I copied everything I knew was safe to the new folder. Character settings, what paks were downloaded, UI, and etc. I suppose previous was the keyword in your instructions . In my mind, I considered the streamer as one of those previous methods.
