Just throwing it out their probobly connecting dots that dont exsist but as a avid reader of books i hope the golden rule applys.

1. in a book everything is important an auther wont tell you about something that doesent matter unless trying to purposely mislead you.

so here is the theory and is based off of nothing but npc chatter and af ew peices of already established lore.

what we know about the queen.

1. she changed over last 500 years somehow which is why she speaks like 2 people over eachother (ones a demonic voice)

2. we know she drinks blood... how do we know the fact atleast 3 seprate npcs use the word. sanguineus or sanguine when speaking about her well sanguine is a word used for the word red bloody or the much less likly determined by her demener hopeful and cheery. however furthering this point sanguineus s a latin word meaning bloody. going back in real world. those who drink blood voluntarily are known as sanguine id say its a pretty safe bet on the meaning of this word in this specific situation. she drinks blood though i suppose simply calling her a the bloody queen would be effective if she was particular brutal which id beileve

and heres were the conspiricy theory comes in.

MAYONG MISTMOORE! thats right because as anyone who played eqlive knows he is blamed for everthing so im passing the buck.

mayong wanted a pure blood teir'dal cristantos is as pure blood as youll get. he made a deal. he gets to conduct his experiments and in turn will turn her into an immortal vampire. win win. she lives forever gains substantial power and mayong gets to do whatever he wanted to do. explains the double speak and the whole sanguine refrence. explains why she tolerates vampires and wanted to remake the urn. is it a whole lot of evedence no is it a conspiricy theory yep but given we havent had any lore on her in a few years figuer id try and put togeather what little we know

I think her double speak comes from her attempt(ing) to attain Godhood. She claims divinity, much like Lucan or Venril does..but unlike Lucan and Venril, she actually has an entire race that treats her as a Goddess, the Arasai. though it's not canon to us, in the Depth of Darkhollow in EQ1, Mayong explains part of his needs to attain godhood was to be worshipped by mortals. which is why he took such care to be tantalizing close but never outright reveal himself. the 'hero' worship and reverance helped him to attain the power required to gain divinity.

So it could be that Cristanos is in a state of flux. not strong enough to become a true demi-god/deity...but more then a simple mortal. I also think that would be a reason to want to rebuild the Ewer/allow vampires to be allowe din Neriak. more people to be beholden to her, to praise her power. that and she may well have been attempting to get the Ewer in the hopes the the Lodge could figure out how to make it give true immortality without the vampirism effect.

I don't think Mayong has been involved with Neriak...he's too busy with New Tunaria and the Age's End prophecy to care about it.

The other popular theory is she's been Void possessed.

When the Shard of Hate opened up, Christanos practically wet herself in fear, because she knew she was parading around claiming to be a god, when her own god was returning. I don't think she ever had enough power to try and claim diefication, and I don't think she ever really tried in the first place.
