Due to the city festival, i'm zoning a fair bit between isle of mera and timorous deep.

Nearly 80-90% of the time i'm zoning into timorous deep, the client crashes. No error, just "Not responding"

On the screen of the last one, it said "updating environment map" on the load bar.

I can actually still hear voice from guild chat, but nothing works, and it won't recover.

I have updated graphics, i have run scans. Can't find anything.

Which patcher are you using? Does your EQII game folder have a PAKS folder in it? If it does, I would suggest opening that PAK folder and deleting the following files.

exp04_rgn_timorous_deep_SG.vpk

exp04_rgn_timorous_deep.vpk

Snd_Exp04_Amb_TimorousDeep.vpk

Relaunch the patcher and it will redownloading these files.

I'll have to recommend you make the transition to our latest LaunchPad for Everquest II. It comes in 2 flavors, Full and Streaming. Since you are on Station Launcher, I suggest downloading the Full version and installing it over your existing Everquest II game folder. Full LP3 and Station Launcher share a file structure so you won't have to re-download the entire game. Streaming LP3 uses a separate file structure and would require redownloading the entire game.

As for it not working for you, let's fix that problem, not much I can do for SL other than what's already been stated.

[EQII] LaunchPad

will try that..

let's see if it gets farther than last time i tried installing the new launcher...

it opens a nice eq2 window, with sony logo in the middle... and then nothing else happens.

Give this flash update a run. Usually fixes being stuck at that SOE screen. Close all of your open web browsers, any opened launchpads, then run the file below.

<span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">Flash Player: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/fla...h_player_ax.exe

impressive.. even with the newest one from adobe.com, it still tells me i have an old version of flash...

so i still see only the sony logo in the middle...

already done that.. didn't work...

i'm kinda stunned as to options currently...

couldn't get the new launcher to work 20 days ago when i tried then... and that was the streaming version even..

So it installed successfully? It didn't say you already have a new version, right?

flash installs fine.

then i start the launcher, in admin mode, tells it to repair, use the installation, then it pops up saying my adobe version is too old, and i then proceed to the launcher window, and the soe logo infinity.

Is this an upgraded installation from another patch method? What folder is it installed to? If its in ProgramData, i suggest moving it out and starting the LaunchPad as an admin. There is no need to reinstall the LP again.

What you are running in to is a Flash issue. That's what is occurring at that SOE logo screen, flash is connecting. We find out why its telling you that you have an old version and we fix the issue. The update I linked would not return an old version error, you literally do still have an old version somehow.

I don't have enough information in front of me to say why, but if you open a support ticket and include your DXDIAG/MSINFO files we can look over it together. PM me the incident number when it's opened. Instructions for it all are in my signature.

Have you deleted the files from the PAK folder and/or upgraded to our latest LaunchPad? Also, using shader 1 or 3?

Wanted to add that I am using the newest launcher as well... also this only ever seems to happen when zoning to TD from another zone, when logging back in after closing the process, it loads into TD perfectly, its only when i return to TD from mara or wherever I go to do the quests

Read over everything and did what was recommended, and I'm still crashing trying to zone from Mara to TD. I'm using Shader 1.0

Seems to hang up on "Updating environment map" before crashing completely if that helps at all.
