I've been taking some video lately with FRAPS and it seems that when I close the program after recording some video any open EQ2 clients crash out with Direct X errors.

I will contact FRAPS support too but I figured I would post here as well in case someone else has had this issue and knows if there's a way to prevent it from happening.

I can't offer too much direct assistance but I'll cover the basic step.

Let's update your DirectX 9 to the latest revision. Download the file linked below and run it. When asked where to extract it, select any folder you know how to get to (like a created folder on your desktop). Once extracted, browse to that folder and run the DXSETUP file to start the actual update.

[DX9] June 2010

Sorry I just assumed it was a Direct X error, but when I tried it again I actually get no error message at all.

The client freezes up for a few seconds and then I get what looks like a general protection fault error and the program shuts down.

-----

I will make sure my Direct X is up to date though, thanks!

Ok, my Direct X is up to date, and I restarted, however the game still hangs and crashes after a few seconds upon closing down FRAPS. Will wait to see what their support says too.
