View Full Version : Application won't launch...

<p>New thread, I finally got the entire game to download using the streaming client (only took 22 hours on a 20mb cable connection) but now I can't get the game to load.</p><p>After hitting "play" the launcher disappears but the game doesn't launch.  Starting the launcher again shows only "Playing..." where the play button would be.</p><p>The reason I see "playing" is because the process is running in task manager. After rebooting a couple of times, starting the launcher, getting nothing, then manually ending the process in task manager, I still can't get in.</p><p>I was able to get in last night (as stated in another thread, however I couldn't see NPC's, and probably most of the environment), but now, nothing.</p><p>I'll give it a little longer, but I was really hoping the CS here would be better than it is in other MMO communities.</p><p>Windows 7 64 bit</p><p>8g 1866 memor</p><p>XFX 6850 XXX edition</p><p>Sata 6.0 SSD</p><p>Asus Sabertooth P67/I5 2nd gen 2500k</p><p>As I stated before it's not on my end.  I build excellent systems.  I have a dozen or more games installed on this machine (offline and MMOs) and they all work flawlessly with no problems whatsoever.</p><p>Ah...5 minutes later the game starts and crashes while I was typing this.  Will edit if needed.</p><p>Edit:  Still crashing, but now it's downloading something else.  The application is at least trying to start immediately instead of waiting 5 minutes...</p><p>Edit 2: Downloaded a 500+ mb packet, game took about 5 minutes to start again.  This time I got the message "failed to create directx device".  Trying again now.  Waiting the 5 minutes for the application to launch now...I really hope a CS tech support person is going to help soon;  I've been trying to get this game to work for over 24 hours now.</p>

<p>Still nothing.  Game crashes when hitting "play".  That's unless it takes 5 minutes to load, then crashes.</p><p>I was able to get in and create a character last night.  Will be waiting on some help...</p>

<p>I chatted with someone last night and sent him the dxdiag and other information he requested via a ticket, but was still hoping a CS tech support would have ackknowledged my problem here...still waiting...  =(</p>
