Don't know if this helps but try to start all the updaters as admin. Maybe it doesn't work because the updaters can't write in the directory without admin rights (Win7 has some very bad restrictions in the default directorys).

Ok After I posted this one my friends in game give me a Idea. EQ2Maps Work now. Still can't get Addons to work thou.

I know I not the only one with this because I asked in game like 20 people said they have same thing they can't get EQ2maps or Addons to work.

So here how I got EQ2Maps to work. When you download Everquest2 to Windows 7 it goes in a Folder Called:

ProgramDate This Folder is Hidden you will not see it. Open up the browsers window

( Tip: if you can't find it just Download a File When it say It say download to the file name and it say or browsers hit browsers)

In this Window you will see ProgramData Right click it hit properties. at the bottom you see a Check by Hidden uncheck it.

Ok that was the hard part.

Ok next step go Start hit Computer

Top Far right there a Search Bar Type everquest2.exe a few will pop up and say Appcrash_everquest2.exe Highlight all the files move it to you Desktop

Then go back to programDate/Sony online Entertainment/ Installed games/ everquestll

and put all those Appcrash_everquest2.exe in to Everquestll folder

Then Redownload Eq2maps

Make sure you download it in Everquestll file

Open up EQ2MAPs hit Options

in there you see c:/ program file Everquestll not in Program file it in programdate

So hit Browsers to Right of that and follow the Step to get your Everquestll file.

Once that is done update EQ2Maps again then log in the game,

WINDOWS 7 is fun to play on but Sucks when try to Add something to it, Hope this helps you all. If you find out how to get Addon to work please post I still can't get it working on it thou.

IDK if this is helpful but for some reason on XP EQ2 default loads in the 'program files (x86)' directory. In Windows 7 it loads in the Users>Public directory.

I couldn't get addons and maps to work either because the game default installs to the Users directory and most of the addons default to the Program Files directory. You just have to direct the addons to where your UI actually is.

Sorry for butting in to the thread if this isn't useful, but I was getting frustrated cause I need maps! Then I figured this out.
