Hi everyone,

I wanted to talk about my concern.

Last night, my Guild and I went into Kael 2. Let me tell you that our Guild is a real casual Guild and that going there is a real challenge for us.

We managed to do this zone in about 2h30. We had 5 ornate chests and 1 exquisite chest (but the only famous drop in it was a Master).

So, we had 6 legendary items, and 3 of them were for scout (we had NO scout in our group), 1 of them was for monk/brawler (we had none), 1 charm for the tank, one ring for one of our healer (we were 2 heals).

So, let's make a quick count: 4 useless item on 6 loots. This zone is tough for us and we did not felt rewarded for our efforts in going through it.

On top of that, the Velium Chest was bugged, saying that we had no key, though we had it on the Key mob in the kennel.

Do you guys at SOE want to look at this issue? Because we really felt so disappointed!

Kill the key mob after you kill a named, otherwise it doesn't count towards opening the chest (i'm guessing they flag the chest as openable on the death of the keymob, and since the chest didnt exist, killing the key mob had no effect) lucky for you and others who do this though, the keymob respawns when the chest pops into existance (I've had this happen to me twice) There is no smart loot, I think maybe the only smart loot that has ever applied to heroic zones has been to masters dropping, and thats rare (varsoon in PoF). This is why the shards were introduced, to give you a steady progress towards a reward, while the drops in zone were a random reward, not always good for you. At the very least the legendary items can be sold/transmuted, so you'll always get something for your efforts. This was your first run, 2 and a half hours is a looong time but we weren't much quicker on our first run before the zone got nerfed That time will decrease now that you know what you are doing. Plus you missed a named i think, 1 in each corner room, 1 in centre first, then 1 in centre after all the others are dead, then 1 more down the bottom when you help the orc.

Smart loot has rarely been applied to heroic encounters and is apparently out of favor with the producers at the moment.
