<p>I am going through some connection issues with my bb provider atm. It has led me to investigate my connection to EQ2/Splitpaw.</p><p>I have adsl AND mobile bb which I use when the adsl connection is impossible to use.</p><p>Symptoms are: ever few minutes I get what is reported (in-game) to be lost packets, I attribute this usually to a busy connection with lots of ppl dl at peak times. This usually happens between 2 and midnight GMT (BST) Most time, 9/10 the connection renegotiates and does not get lost - if I am raiding, which I usually am, I will continue my spell rotation and after 20/30 secs, the game will catch up and quickly cast all my spells and I will either be dead or the mob will.</p><p>This happens also when I am connected (but much less fewquently) using my mobile bb so the prob is either my PC or at the other end of the connection. I do sometimes experience slow browsing but whether that is a distraction, I don't know.</p><p>While investigating this, I notice that if I ping Splitpaw, I hop from near London to Dallas to NY to London then on to Amsterdam. Huh? what's that all about and can I improve it anyhow?</p><p>In game, my ping can be reported at between 150 and 1150 usually the lower end but when the game reports it as high and I use cmd to ping the server directly, i get avg c 148. Is there something wrong with the stats function in game or is that a distraction?</p><p>This whole issue is making the game almost unplayable atm - any help would be appreciated.</p><p>PS I have checked what the max MTU size should be and configured IP and the Router accordingly.</p><p>TIA</p>
