When I first tried to log in, launchpad #1 kept giving me operation timed out messages.

Now, that seems to be working.

However, when I hit play, I get "Login rejected: Invalid username or password. Please try again", which is odd because launchpad #1 just accepted it.

Also, I just logged into these forums to post this message...

I am wondering if the login servers are misbehaving or something.

-Leucippus

I logged in fine. Do you use map updater? You may need to update.

I have been playing for a few hours, camping to alts without any problems, then the following happened: I was camping to an alt about 10-15 minutes ago and i got the same message. Tried to log back on, same thing happened. Get past the launcher and then get the message.

I can log onto the forum here just fine and view my account details too. I can't find any info on the login servers being down for maintenance, so I am assuming this was not intended.

Edit: I managed to log in just now without any problems... very odd.

Not really sure what happened to you. I don't see any server side issues reported or announcements.

If you want you can PM me your Station Name and I'll see if the server logged any errors from your connection attempts.

Two of my friends are having issues connecting, one can't load the patcher at all, the other is getting the error message. Both from different places in the world with different connections. I told them to just keep trying, looks like a weird glitch this morning.

Patcher isn't loading for me and neither is the login at the moment.

"Unable to retrieve assets from the server. Please retry in a few minutes."

Which patchers are you using? Also, what servers? I'll take a look to see if anything is going on with that specific server.

I'm currently getting the error "Sorry, there was an error initializing LaunchPad.Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again."

I'm connected to the internet. I wouldn't be able to post this if I wasn't.

I use 0 addons.

Just to update a little bit.

I have been able to connect rarely. I restarted my computer, launched EQ2 and got it to work. I quit out of EQ2 and tried starting it up again and got the same error. I would restart my computer and continue to get the same error. Error reads when I start up the EQ2 Launch Pad "Sorry, there was an error initializing LaunchPad. Please make sure you are connected to the internet and try again."

I've never had a problem until this morning.

Any suggestions? Would reinstalling EQ2 help this issue or is this a server side problem?

Zep I don't see a connection attempt from your location. Do you have any firewall or security suite software running? I PMed you the network test instructions. Run through them and paste the results back to me.

I actually turned off my Windows Firewall to test and still having the issue. I have 0 anti virus programs on my computer other than the built in Windows Defender. It's strange, Occasionally I'll get to the login part but just sits there trying to log in. The other times I get the same error that I posted above.

I'm running the commands you sent me as I'm typing this. I'll PM them to you when it's completed.
