For the last week or so the Tab key has been all sorts of screwy, from working sometimes, to not at all, to sometimes tabbing 2 mobs infront of me but ignoring the third. Mentioned it in raid and other players confirmed the same issue. Can someone take a look at that?

Prime example was doing the libary fight in tofs x2 MT had book and libarian locked down on hate. Add spawned. We was all assisting through the tank i watched him tab back and forth 3 or 4 times between book and libarian but tab completely ignored the add 2 feet infront of him who was having a good ole' time on the healers.

Tab will cycle through your encounter.

If you look over your keymapping in the options, there are other target cycle keys that can be mapped. I use target closest a lot personally.

was this changed? Because it used to pretty much grab everything on screen.

I think some of this maybe a side effect of heroics turning gray in raids. Often i'm trying to tab to pick up the now gray adds.

Yes, that's how tab should work, but there have been issues with it over thepast week or so. Mainly it seems to be that if you are lazy assisting through somebody, you can't tab off of them whereas you used to be able to do that.

That does seem to be part of the issue. Still cant explain tank unable to pick up the add right infront of him. He wasnt lazy assisting. He was MT

I've also noticed that the first tends to vary: if I'm engaged with a mob it locks to that mob's encounter group, wihle if I'm not it cycles through all the visible NPCs. It also seems to be based on distance, so "next" means "next most distant mob after the one I'm currently targetting". If there's new mobs closer than the one I'm targetting, I have to do a target-nearest to reset the tab sequence. If I don't, I'll continue to work through the mobs further away and not start on the nearest ones until I've hit the most distant visible mob.

What I'd like is a keybind that targets the next attackable mob (will select non-hostile mobs, won't select non-attackable NPCs, harvest nodes and other non-attackable targetable objects) that'll cycle through either all visible mobs (if you aren't engaged in combat) or all mobs engaged with your group/raid (if you're in combat) even if that spans several encounter groups.
