Yep, though with tainted heals and feign death a Necro is somewhat better. (IMHO)

Not sure when last you played, all classes are solo-able to 90...6 to 1, half dozen to the other.

Conjuror's are a good solo class allowing a couple of playstyles: go nice and safe with the Tank pet or fast and furious with the Mage one.

They have Stoneskins for both pet and Conj along with pet heals, and can cope with just about any situation. They are also great dps for group and raid nowadays if you get bored of soloing.

their dps is a little much for raids. IMHO no mage should out DPS a wizard on single target dps.

With Shared stats outside of hard heroics there's almost no reason to even summon a tank pet.

To the comment about Raid DPS. There's too many factors that can determine who outDPSes who on a raid and the only way to ensure that Wizards always outDPS Conjies would be to jack their DPS up ridiculously high, which would not be balanced.

I happen to believe that while equally geared characters do exist, equally skilled players are mythical (as in, skill playing the toons are never really equal, one is always better than the other even if marginally so).

Another thing I don't understand is why Wizards feel Summoners cannot out-DPS them single target or otherwise. They are both pure DPS classes the only difference is how the DPS is done and the fact that a significant portion of the summoner's DPS is tied to an entity that can be 1 shotted by any raid trash mob, AoE, etc.

Why do you think it's okay that you be relegated to default "best [single target] DPS" while others have some artificial cap put on how well they can perform, even if they are better than you?

I just laughed)

Like someone said above, you can solo with every class. Some are just easier than others. Conj's are pretty easy to solo with in my eyes. It's nice to have a pet to keep the mob at arms length. It depends on the play style you like as to what pet you decide to use.

Can use your tank pet for heavier mobs. Or whip through a mob using your mage(fire) pet to blow through. Either way, they are pretty easy to master.

Good luck out there.
