I came across something new last night - My berserker managed to collect a massed group of enemy mobs, I had about 7 giants and 20+ wolves on me and was being healed by a team mate. "take them to our tower" and "take them to our base" he was shouting, which was easier said than done but I slowly dragged them with me heading for where I was told without really knowing why.

On reflection I assume its so that our own mobs will intercept them and help the fight, possibly, but with such a large group isn't it likely that our little coldains would get trounced and then the enemy are right on top of the tower which they are trying to destroy? We lost of course.

So I came here to see if anyone had come up a strategy guide yet, sadly not - And the kind of guides I am talking about are something that seems to be massively lacking on the eq2 forum.

So, ladies and gents

Would any of you like to share your thougths on how this new map should be played?

The ideal team makeup

Each archetypes role in the battle

Is it better to stay in one large group or split into two or more?

What should the main objectives be from start-middle-end game

What to do if it all hits the fan (apart from sit in the respawn waiting for your pity token)

I implore you all to share your ideas, maybe if we get a decent response someone will read it and if we're lucky play that little bit better next time and maybe even swing the victory in favour of your own team

/end hopeless optimism

don't waste your time with strategy. grab some ice cream and wait the 3 minutes for your bg to end. maybe your team will suck less than the other. maybe not.

PVE takes the win to get BG gear... its a glorious thing what SOE "thought" of

If you come in after the game starts. Try to stall the other's teams gate attack force as much as possible for 1 minute before the game is over.

You can click on both gates from the rez / spawn point... if you come in late and click on the gates and they are both at full HP, just go afk and wait for free loots, you have 50/50 shot, cuz that means the rat-ards are zergin each other in the middle and its gonna last the full 15 minutes... go smoke a bowl or something and come back... That place is a joke...

Whoever has the best PVE gear / PVE setup and the fastest mounts wins...

And since you can't hotswap gear out during combat, SOE in their limitless wisdom created it so if you try to beat the map, you need PVE gear on, if the other team wants to stall you, they will have PVP gear on... and you will melt... or vice versa... SOE's rah-tarded stepchildren created that BG no doubt

You run em to the door and let everyones AOEs burn em down instead of killing them piecemeal. this way you get more/faster burn time on the door provided the mental midgets don't run across the center to attack the other zerg herd.

The name if this game is who can burn the door faster. Period.

What SHOULD have occured is the DEVs should have made a clockwise run to your objective, interupted only by the minor speed bump of a few PVE mobs, impossible. Their should be a wall of some sort of pathing prohibiting the intentional COMPLETE avoidance of enemy combatants. The center should also be an icy pond like the winter zone. Then one would be encouraged to damage the enemy instead of bypass/avoid them to burn a door down in PVE gear. This would be one fix - I am sure others have more that could be added.
