Station Launcher Constantly updating even while in use

<p>Hi there. I searched the forums and saw lots of old posts regarding the station launcher but didn't find any addressing this particular issue. Ever since SoE got back up and running after the hacking I've had a problem with station launcher. I don't use station launcher to play the game but I use it on my windows 7 netbook to chat with my friends in game when I'm not able to be at my PC and in game playing. Every time I launch the station launcher it wants to update it. This would be fine except that it takes a really long time and happens every single day when it never happened at all before.</p><p> Also when I have been logged into station launcher for a while, even while I'm using it it will check for updates even when it already checked for them at start up. Even when I click cancel it takes forever to actually cancel and just sits on the screen. I've also noticed it takes forever to sign in and sits there trying to for a while. Sometimes when it has been sitting there trying for a few minutes I click cancel and try again and it works, but other times it takes forever before it will finally login.</p><p>Does anyone know why it's doing these things and how to fix them? I'm running version 1.1.9, which with all the updating it's been trying to do lately I would hope is the latest version. If it is not where can I download the most recent version and will it fix the problem?</p>

<p>Do you have automatic updates disabled for that particular game?</p><p>If not, you set this up from Station Launcher itself with the Station menu option > Preferences > Automatic Updates.  Uncheck the game you do not want to be automatically updated.</p>

<p>Hi. I'm not using the station launcher for any games. I can't run them on my netbook. I am simply using it as a chat client to talk to freinds in game via the freinds network section of the launcher while not actually being logged into the game itself.</p><p>I went into station>preferences, (games > game preferences was greyed out) to see if auto updates were turned on however there were no options in this pannel just a title for the section "Automatic Updates" and decription of what this section was for "Keeps games automatically updated" but that's all otherwise it was a blank blue section with no option bubbles, not check boxes not even greyed out text just the title and title description and blue background of the launcher.</p><p>Also when it decided to take 5 minutes trying to "update" today I noticed it said "updating files for the the launcher", so it's not tryingto patch games that aren't there it's tryingapply patches that don't exist to the launcher itself. So I'm rather stumped why it's doing this and why so frequently, as in within an hour or so of it last checking, and why it's doing it while the launcher is running. As I mentioned in my previous post it ran perfectly and never did this prior to the two or so odd weeks SoE was completelyshut down due to their systems having been hacked So I  am at a loss for why it is suddenly now wanting to update the launcher every hour or so when there is nothing to patch.</p>

<p>So it's been about a month and a half since I first posted this, and this is still being an issue for me. Would appreciate some help with getting this working properly please.</p>
