I'm glad to see the flying mounts broaden in style with the Pegasus. They are quite striking.

I now challenge the Devs to come up with a flying mount for use in the lower tier zones. Your old zones still offer beauty and awe for players. Incentives of the Velious expansion being an obvious necessity, please don't forget that some player's hate the idea of rushing through levels for that level 85 flying mount. We still like to have fun, too. Perhaps a t3 flying mount that we can use in t1, t2 and t3? You could create variety and incentive by limiting the height of flight for a lesser flying mount. Say, treetop height but not to the mountain tops. Hulking Fire Beetles from the Commonlands, for an example. I'm sure there are other innovative EQ2 creatures with an element of flight. Just tossing that out there.

I am really glad these are available now. Yes I purchased the Dark Flying Steed, and personally, I think they look great. The dark could be a little darker, but it does go with the smoked leather armor nicely on my settings. However, the view from the flying steed is a little off. Unlike the gryphon, when I take to the air on the steed, I am mostly seeing a nice view of it's butt instead of a more flattened view like with the gryphon. The steed seems to go down nose first, tilting my toon and not really giving me the same perspective view as the gryphon. I can post a screen shot of a comparison of the two if necessary. But other than the two things I mentioned, I really like them and appreciate the work that went into them.

I've had a look at the new flying mounts and whilst I think the idea is great, I was a little disappointed by what I saw.

I always thought that Pegasus's were supposed to be graceful, elegant and powerful, but most of all a thing of beauty. I was disappointed because I felt the legs were too chunky, the eyes just look all wrong, why do they have to be red/pink? The tail is too short and needs to be a tad longer, tails are supposed to go right down to the legs, not stop just past the bum part. The mane needs to be also a tad longer. The hoofs look wrong but I cannot really pinpoint why they feel wrong. But by far my biggest gripe is the reins and saddle, Pegasus is far too majestic to be reduced to wearing such items. Overall I think it looks too masculine, I was under the impression that Pegasus had a more feminine feel to it, and also some sort of magical glow, its supposed to be a enchanted creature.

Obviously each person has their own idea of what Pegasus should look like and I'm sure others will disagree with my thoughts on it. Sorry but it just feels all wrong.

But i"m on a month by month basis here and when I"m no longer having fun do to losing friends and guildmates who will decide this or something esle will be the straw that broke the camels back when that happens I will probably be looking else where.

I love, love, love the new mount! Yes, I bought two - one for each lvl 90 adventuring toon. Thank you! Yes, they have stats, but I am at a point where having those/not having those do not impact my gameplay. It's all about appearance of the mount for me.

I do have the same feedback as others - it would be nice of the horse modeled was more graceful than bulky. I think we, the community, would like it to be modeled more after an Andulucian horse vs. the Shire that seemed to provide inspiriation. We already have a good draft horse with other SC mounts. Let's make this more pretty perhaps?

For some inspiration - especially the black andulucian for some good coloring and muscle tone: http://www.google.com/search?q=anda...343&bih=925

Thank you! Keep it up - hope to see more.

Cheers!

If I were the raging type, I know I'd be raging. People are happy with this? I have to pay to get a mount with far better stats then one that took 5 days of questing? (Well, it took me longer than 5 days). Or am I not understanding something about the Pegasus? I didn't think market place items were suppposed to be better than in-game items - when did that change? (I never pay attention to market place items).
