I've about had it with this game...I have yet to even play it, have talked to live support twice and although the guy was really cool, and helpful, it seemed it wasn't enough. I'm playing on Windows XP, on Comcast but with a TM-G5240 router. I am thinking the router is causing the issue but when I try to connect my computer directly to the Comcast Modem, it won't register an IP address so the connection won't go through.

I receive no error messages, just get kicked out to the character select screen, except sometimes it gives me a message saying how the server is backlogged, try back in a few minutes, but most of the time I receive no error.

I don't understand what's wrong, I also tried doing a clean boot, took my firewall down, allowed the firewall to make an exception for EQ2, and tried to port-forward without success because it's confusing as F***!

If someone has a good suggestion, I swear I'll give you all my money in EQ2 for a month. D: Been wanting to play this game since it came out on PS2, and finally get it and it hates me.

Thank you guys!

Just a couple thoughts. I get kicked from the launcher several times before I get a stable connect. I am not sure if it's my comp, comcast, but I am pretty sure the launcher is a chunck of the issue (using LP2).You can try this website for more info and will probably have better success talking with the devs working on the launchers. http://forums.station.sony.com/stat....m?forum_id=200

http://forums.station.sony.com/stat..._id=11500021386

I do know there are work arounds. Also it is posted that they are working on LP3. So don't give up hope. I know it is frusterating dealing with these issues but trust me, this game is worth the hassle.

Make sure your direct X is current, plugins, and drivers, sound included.

I wish you well and hope to see you in game soon!!
