I've got some sort of bug where, when attempting to climb some walls, an invisible barrier blocks my character from going any farther once I get to a certain height. It usually happens about halfway up, and sometimes there are like pixel-wide openings that work, while other times I have to get people to put a flag up so I can port.

I've had this happen in:

Kylong Plains, at the lower right beehive for the "Yet Another Strange Creature" quest (other beehives worked fine)

Fens of Nathsar (The tower at the Kylong Planes zoneline and the tower by the Sathir's Span Bridge)

Barren Sky (The second climable wall on your way up to the Vultak Scroll-bearer)

It hasn't happened in Palace of the Awakened or Maj'dul. I tried dismounting, getting rid of all pets, and changing the graphics settings. Any idea on what's going on?

I can take screenshots or try to take a short video if it will help.

This happened to me in Deathtoll as well, and only after GU60 went live.

Just had a guildie come to try to help me with the Vultak and he had invisible walls too. Thank God, it's not just me.

This happens to one of my guild members very often but no one else.

Feel free to post your DXDIAG information here and we'll see what I can reproduce and get resolved.

I do want everyone to run the update linked below as well to get us on the same DX9 revision.

[DX9] June 2010 - Once you have downloaded the file, it will prompt you to extract it. Select any folder you know how to get to like a created folder on your desktop. Once that process is done, open that folder and run the DXSETUP file to start the update itself.

I see this in world chat all day long. So far it happens at random times and at random locations. So far it has happened to me in Sinking Sands, Living Tombs, Silent City, Loping Plains, Bonemire and more I cant think of.

This just started 4 days ago for me.

Please fix this and the mouse getting stuck in the upper right. Todays date is Friday June 10th 2011. Lets see if this is fixed by June 1st 2012 (doubt it).

In any case, are you also using the latest available drivers from your manufacturer?

You can download the latest revision of DX9 using the link below. This update is required even if you have DX10, DX11, or anything else.

[DX9] June 2010

The scroll bearer wall, wax in kp, quest guy in first tower of fens. Not just a few folks. There is another thread about this plus I saw in test update notes a fix for this. So I don't think it's a problem with people's computers.

Climbing walls, stuck mouse. I quoted him so you know I was speaking to him directly. Stuck mouse issue is absolutely a computer issue and we can identify what needs to be updated.

I just don't want you thinking I'm giving computer tech support for an issue that is on our end!

While the climbing issue doesn't originate on our end, it is emphasized by certain things we can affect and we are working on improving this situation. It occurs to a very small portion of players (relatively speaking) and the reasons are typically all over the place. Custom UI's needing to be updated, our default UI needing to be updated, drivers, directx, and so on. While we investigate and identify what contributing factors we can affect, we'll push a fix out for it.

Threads like this help us identify other contributing factors that we may not be aware is also inducing issues.
