Any time I run EQ2 after nearly any other program after restarting my computer, the shadows look like this in-game:

I have an NVidia GTX 460 video card and it's definitely not the video card having problems (it would be drivers long before the video card itself... Let's face it. NVidia Drivers aren't amazing).

------------------System Information------------------Time of this report: 6/3/2011, 20:32:04 Machine name: ENO Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647) Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: BIOS Date: 03/13/09 11:04:11 Ver: 08.00.10 Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6300 @ 2.80GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 3456MB RAM Page File: 1886MB used, 3453MB available Windows Dir: C:WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.5512 32bit Unicode------------DxDiag Notes------------ DirectX Files Tab: No problems found.
Try the new 275.33 drivers first and let us know if it's still bugging out.

Go figure that it's a so-far-so-good case right now. I'll add more detail later if anything's changed (well, or not. Never hurts to post good news either).

Some folks were having problems with the prior driver version. Mostly due to the new 3D driver installed with it causing drops of 30% in performance.

Mostly issues revolving around the 3D Vision Center crap that is installed by default.

Well, messing around more this morning, I haven't run into any issues with either the GPU shadows or with the ambient occlusion/sunshafts/depth of field (different, much more minor issue there) yet, so I'm thinking that these drivers (275.33) did the trick for me.

275.33 has been working great for me too. Very happy with them personally.
