I like playing in windowed mode, but my fps cuts in half when I do. Anyone else have this issue, or does anyone know a fix? I thank you in advance for your help.

Theres another AERO option I want you to test. Typically, this should not make as big of an impact as you describe but is responsible for some FPS loss in windowed mode.

You can open your control panel with Start > control panel > and type Aero in the search box.

You want the Enable or disable Transparent glass on windows options. Set that to off and let me know how much of an increase it nets you.

Have you already updated to the latest ATI drivers available? They had 11.6 released recently. It has been very successful among the community.
