When zoning from [Removed for Content] to E. Wastes, or vice versa, I do make the zone but wind up in the water for a nice swim. I've tried lowering settings all the way, zoning from diff. flight paths, also just trying to zone on my own flying mount. Nothing changes, I even went into settings and deleted my E. Wastes filed and let them rebuild. This is the only zone I've found that's doing this. Thank you for any help or advice.

Yes it happens every time. This is the only one I've gotten to this point as I just returned back to game. I can try in a bit to get one of my others over there and see if it happens to them also. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 4/7/2011, 08:57:30 Machine name: SCOTT-2A3AB3FE1 Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
Once you've tested it with another character please let me know and I'll do additional testing with our findings.

OK I ran an alt over and it's zoning fine. I tried several times and never hit the water once. I logged my Zerker in, my Main, and he went for a swim again. I tried without a mount and back and forth couple times. Every time he hits the water.

PM me your Station Name, let me try to reproduce it on the zerker directly to confirm it is character specific.

Also meant to say in Gen. my Zerker just seems to zone slower than others. Guessing that's got something to do with it. Will send you that PM, thanks!

Sent you a PM asking when it is ok to log in your zerk Soon as you respond to it I'll test it immediately, be logged out!

It does take your berserker a bit longer than typical to zone and I will request in-game support to take a look at it. I think this is the source of the issue but it is emphasizing something else. I was not able to reproduce the issue but I did notice what you are probably experiencing.

Upong zoning in to EW from [Removed for Content] on your berserker, he enters a freefall as his assets are being loaded. This particular PC is an I7 super power house so this lasts for less than a second here and the griffon loads and off I go flying.

I imagine your PC may not be as overpowered as these are and it is taking longer for the griffin to load for you and you actually hit the water before it fully initializes.

Perhaps we can use this as a method to make further optimizations as it appears to be a culmination of varying contributing factors.

OK, thank you! Well my Zerker will just have to stay in shape from swimming until then. =) Thanks again for your help on this.

It seems to be a reocurring issue, as it happens anytime I make that flight. And from conversations with other guildmates, it appears to be happening all over the place (any time you change zones while in flight from griffon tamers/towers, you are dropped from the griffon upon zoning in).

After the second or third time this happened to me (the same Darklight -> Butcherblock flight), I filed a bug report about it (just for the record).

Thanks for posting Shadow! I thought this was just something happening to me. To me I zone slow anyhow, especially on this guy, but it's my one character that gets dropped everytime. Not sure if this is the same for you. You tried any other alts in the same spot?

Like you I've also bugged it and TSR-JoshuaM was really helpful and took all the info he could. Sure this throws a spin on this is others are having the same issue! Also, my wife never gets dumped in same spot, but as she zones you can see her drop about 10 feet before she lands on her bird again and continues flying.

It's been almost two weeks and not a word on why my one character is zoning slower than the others. I'm just curious if there has been any update to this or anything I can do to help.

Development is aware of the issue and our GM's have received many reports of it from other players. I am sure they are investigating what is causing some characters to be bogged down more than others and a fix for it would be included in a future update. If any other information is required I will request it here.
