Like i mean really, this is the most irritating thing to do, im NOT redownloading a game over and over and over and over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN because you guys can't seem to warn us before you do something<insert the R word cuz it was censored by some r word-ed person like this. why the hell should we delete a file when you techies can't seem to find a way to automatically replace a certain file? i dont even have that last part of the first File you told us to delete, "lp_temp" NO i dont have it. i have "lp_lang" i deleted the other one. still game is stuck at Error 1001. tis kinda bs is why ppl leave this game. i play it cuz its better than WoW aoc, rift aka wow 2.0, EQ1, aion, and alot of F2p games. theres nothing out there thats like everquest 2, nothing! so like really stop screwing around on this [Removed for Content]

I am having the same problem.

I am trying to patch from the US english servers to the UK english so i can sort some characters out prior to transferring to a US server.

I followed these instruction and the same thing happened again.

So I tried to do it again and deleted pl_temp but now the marketplace file is not there and it is still displaying the same error and failing to patch.

Please help, it is really annoying!

Thank you

Edited to say, tried again and still not working.

Edited again to add :

Obviously I have 2 folders - EQ2 and EQ2 (GB) and I did this process in the one which won't patch, the EQ2 (GB) one.

Apparently we can download a new launcher, but it doesn;t support multiboxing - can anyone confirm this please?

I have 3 accounts and to be honest enjoy it so much that if I couldn;t multibox I wouldn't continue playing.

The Full version of our latest launcher available at the link below allows 2 boxing just as Station Launcher did.

The Streaming version operates differently and will download a 2nd set of asset files, a second copy of the game files, but you can play while it does this.

My personal recommendation is the Full version. Especially upgrading from Station Launcher, you can direct it to install over it as they share the same file structure. This avoids having to re-download the entire game when switching from Station Launcher to our latest LaunchPad.

As for individual errors you may run in to, we will address them. I did recently switch schedules and we are still in the process of getting everything caught back up. If there are any outstanding issues feel free to repost them or open a support ticket directly.

Extended is an entirely separate game.

I do recommend opening a support ticket for Extended directly.

I am having the exact same issue (Not EQ2 Extended) and deleting files did not resolve anything. Is there anything else we can try?

What happened all the sudden? Everything was fine about 3 hours ago - now I can't log on and box like I was doing earlier in the day. One account will log in fine, the second account says "Playing" and won't log in.

All the sudden? /makes a face.

Oh and P.S. I'm using the full version, not station launcher and not the streaming client.

I too have suddenly got this problem. One account works fine but the other, using the streaming client, is stuck at "Playing" - which I am not!

EQII does seem a difficult game to keep running. I have played a couple of other online games with no problems every. I am not a computer expert by a long way so all this stuff about going in to the game files and deleting this and that are very unnerving for me!

I want you to check on an Internet Options setting for me.

Click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Scroll through the Settings to the Security section > UNCHECK the option that reads Do Not Save Encrypted Pages to Disk > Click Apply and OK.

If it was checked go ahead and try to log in again. Let me know either way.
