Hey there...

So, since Tuesday the 31st, my main toon Streppoch has been trapped in Drunder. I needed to zone into Drunder for the new Othmir questline. Part of the new crafting questline requires you to stick a toe into the zone. I did so--clicked on the zone, game crashed. All right, it's patch day, it happens. Load the game back up, assets start loading---game crashes. Again.

And again. And again. So Strep's now trapped in there. GM answers my petition by moving me out to Commonlands and having me delete my cache folders. Peachy keen. I head back to Drunder for Strep Crafting Adventure part II.Guess what?Rinse and repeat.

While this is going on, I've been able to log onto my alts and play them no problem. So at the time, I thought the issue was just with the Drunder zone, as I read here on the forums that some other people had this same issue with Drunder.

I let the GM know, who says he'll pass it along to tech support, but I haven't heard anything back and now we're heading into a third day I can't play my main.

In the meantime, I decided to play on one of my alts, Corpsegoddess, for a while. Great, off we go. Along my adventuring way, I need to make a quick stop-off in my Concordium Magical Tower. And guess what?

Toon-Eating MMO: 2 vs. Sad Streppoch Player: 0

I now have 2 stuck characters, same thing happens to both when I try to log them on, and one of them is STUCK IN ONE OF MY OWN HOUSES. This is not even a new LU60 zone. Now I'm afraid to zone anywhere.

Could I please get some assistance? Or at least get Strep unstuck so I can go about my business (but not the Othmir crafting questline, apparently). Anyone? Bueller?

Same thing has been happening to me. Had to get a GM get one of my toons out of Permafrost. Myself and 3 other guildmates also couldn't enter Grozmag's Trial without crashing everytime. And again with another toon in Varsoons. Never had this problem before. The GM I spoke with told me there was going to be a patch to fix this problem this morning but I saw nothing in the patch notes and it still happened to me today. I've run a full file scan twice, still no success fixing this. No idea what is going on.

I've PM'd my details, still haven't heard anything back. Still have both toons stuck as of last night. I would REALLY like something to be done about this...not being able to play on my main is really a pill.

We're looking in to it, we can move around just fine so it is probably a corrupt or incomplete zone file. Are you using Station Launcher or the latest streaming or full LaunchPad?

For everybody's reference, I was able to resolve the issue myself. Apparently there are problems with the LU and custom UI's--mine was with Fetish Nightfall specifically. The fix can be found in this thread from EQ2 Interface:

http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/...ead.php?t=15697

And this is the post with the information you need:

"The following is a compare between the default interface (5.30.11) and the new default interface patched (GU60 5.31.11) on the right with changes in red.
Fetish and other UIs have had issues.

However, I still get zone crashes and stuck characters even with default UI.

Basically GU60 has been very, very buggy for me.

I have no idea if any of this is related, but the following is a list of what I've seen since GU60's release:

mouse moves sluggishly

mouse cursor does not move when mouse does

clicking hotbar icons does not do anything unless you click while moving the mouse sometimes (obviously all three of these are related)

lot of crashing in DoV zones regardless of interface

mobs flashing on and off in DoV starter areas as we fight

quest updates upon reaching a certain location taking several seconds or longer to register

pets failing to respond to attack commands and taking very odd paths in zones where they used to function well

choppy performance in zones where it was working well before

That list is not comprehensive, and it doesn't seem all that related. However, all of those started happening to myself and a friend at the same time as the zone crashes after the GU60 release, so it makes me think that either there are just a lot of bugs, or maybe there is some obscure one that affects a lot of different parts of the game.

Since all of those seem to be performance related it makes me wonder if that is not a clue to some of the issues people are seeing.

I was going to start a more comprehensive thread with my own notes of GU60 bugs, but the forums are so noisy I'm not sure it will matter much.

I've also encountered the mouse issue you mentioned (mouse acting herky-jerky, clicking on CA's and nothing happening), but I thought it was just me. Interesting.

It seems the Interface guys have narrowed down the zoning issue to the "zonereuse" .xml file, so just deleting that one file should help with the crashing.

But yes, this seems to be an overly-buggy LU.
