View Full Version : Way of bans on Russian server

Hello from the Harla Dar Russian PvP.

Today most of the active pvp players 90 lvl (50~%) were banned for "using exploit`. Since the release of LU60 we had an option to purchase BG's tokens for gold. A lot of players have done it. Next day (i.m. today) they r banned.

Can u explain: r those bans legitimate? Akella didnt warn us that purchasing of BG's tokens is unlegal in EQ2. A lot of us were thinking that this option was compensation for troubles of station.soe.com. Should players pay for mistakes players didnt do?

Agreed with that.

Also rly strange banning policy: "half of the".

Deleting PVP stuff not from BG funny also.

And btw testcopy did not work for russian servers, so we just cant even imagine how looks test merchants.

Russian players got bans for purchasing BG's tokens but players from us servers just got a wipe of tokens. We know that EQ2 has a support but in Soviet Russia support has EQ2.

your problem is in a way based on the fact that the RU servers are managed under licence by Akella , not by SoE , they run their own ruleset / conditions of play , where as SoE controls all US and Euro servers , they have no say on the Russian server playerbase.

Is the difference between being banned because you play on the Russian server and just losing the tokens because you play on a US server fair? , I don't think so either ..but SoE can't do anything about it...you need to contact/petition Akella directly.

Why we should suffer because of that that Akella has incorrectly put NPS.

Why should we wait solutions of a problem if we are not to blame.

Sadly in situation's like this there are no good answers, just choice's of bad one's to fix a problem that was not caused by the players. I've seen SOE take similiar actions across the board more than once for the US players by ban/locking the accounts while they fix things on a accout to account basis. It sucks, but at least it's not a permanent /ban which would be uncalled for.

-Gil

SOE has sold a poor-quality product (LU 60, EverQuest II). Why we should suffer? At least the company-developer (SOE) should pay compensation to us and help to solve this ban-problem.
