<p>So, my character attempted to enter The Wailing Caves instance, and it crashed.  Now, it crashes every time I attempt to enter the game since that character is "in" the instance, which will not load, with the default UI.</p><p>Suggestions?</p><p>[EDIT:  more info]</p><p>Interesting. I had my flatmate load EQ2 up on her machine and log me in, and it loaded the zone without an issue. So, I quickly did a "call to home" and logged out. I'll have to try going back to the same place later and see if it locks up again for me. The difference is, my machine is running windows 7 (64-bit) and has a full game install. Hers is running XP (32-bit) and using the streaming client.</p><p>[EDIT: solved]</p><p>Ok, after installing the streaming client myself and testing the differences between my eq2_recent.ini and the streaming client's version, I discovered the conditions that cause the lockup in this zone.</p><p>If either Shader 3.0 *OR* GPU Shadows is enabled, the client will lock up and crash when entering the Wailing Caves.  Every time, perfectly reproducable.  This is a recent bug introduced by one of the most recent updates.  I've tested this with both the current Nvidia 275.33 64-bit drivers and the <p>I'm testing this with a GTX260 with the same drivers, but a Q9650 CPU, and cannot reproduce ths issue.  Could you open a support ticket to submit an MSINFO32 file?</p>
