USB not working for mic

<p>My husband was trying to get set up his mic on his PC for vent but Windows will not recognize anything in the USB port.  We tried using a second mic...again no deal but both worked on my PC.  The error he gets is DpvSetup.exe.  He has tried everything he can think to do including a compleate reformate.  The flash drive works fine though so we do not think it is the actual USB port itself.</p><p>Might any of you out there have an idea how to fix this please? <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" /></p>

What version of Windows 2. Did the mic come with a install disc? If so run the install disk first then plug the mike into the machine. 3. is he logged on as a local administrator to the machine? Biggest question is what version of windows - the path to take to diagnose and correct the issue is different for XP
