unable to find any other posts about this so I am going to assume this is just happening to me for now and I have a bad file somewhere that I keep downloading no matter how many times I erase the paks. The Station Launcher when I updated it today is giving me an error of

Unable to patch: c: programdatasony online entertainment installed games everquest IIlp_temp paksChar_A1.vpk_delta_10546_12.patched

c: programdatasony online entertainment installed games everquest IIlp_temp paksChar_TU3.vpk_delta_10546_20.patched

Please make sure the game is not running but the game is clearing not running as I am trying to patch the game to get into it. I was able to load the game just fine via the streaming client but I don't like to play with it as it can be glitchy at times and prefer the launcher so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Here it is a week later and still no response and no change to my issue and I am seeing I am not the only one as there are now multiple players that have decided instead of posting under my post to make their own. Is there a resolution to this problem being made anytime in the near future please do you have an idead what has happened to the station launch pad after it was taken offline because of the hack? Did they forget to put some files back into place? I am still getting the same error where it is telling me I am missing those 2 files.

Unable to patch: c: programdatasony online entertainment installed games everquest IIlp_temp paksChar_A1.vpk_delta_10546_12.patched

c: programdatasony online entertainment installed games everquest IIlp_temp paksChar_TU3.vpk_delta_10546_20.patched

after you deleted the file - did you right click and run as administrator?

Yes I always run as admin or the launcher will not work on my computer. I watched the file load with the folder open and the files were self removing after being added inside so I have no idea what is going on here please help.

Still unable to run the launchpad have deleted it now and repatched it several times ran it in admin and non admin mode and still come up with the same 2 file errors and it thinking there is a copy of the game running in the background when it is not running. Is there a red name tech that has any idea what i going on here by chance raiding on streaming client isn't exactly fun for me. Thank you.

How old IS the version of the full client that you're trying to use? And, has it every worked after the DoV release and/or newest game update?

If I were you I'd try a couple of steps to resolve this issue:

1.) Uninstall Everquest 2 from your machine entirely (The Full Client).

2.) REBOOT

3.) Delete the folder c:ProgramDataSony Online Entertainment

4.) Download the Full Client from everquest2.com > http://launch.soe.com/installer/EQ2_Full_setup.exe

5.) Install running the setup as Administrator

6.) Hit Update for the launcher to start the 12+ GB Download of the game.

7.) Enjoy!

Then of course, make sure from that point forward you are running the client as an Administrator.

If you need help, let me know.

It is not the correct launcher but it will have to do I guess for now until they fix the other one. The correct launcher is the one with the multiple games on it so I do not have to load several different icons on my desktop. Thank you at least I don't have to use the streaming client anymore. the little dragon in the corner drives me insane.

The launchpad worked before the game got hacked and I had to patch and everyone in my family has a working copy expect me and I was the one that placed it on their computers so I have no idea what is wrong it is just these 2 files that got corrupt somehow and the program won't repair them for me now. It looks like 2 different character files but all my avatars load and play fine so ingame I cannot say which one's are corrupt either.

The multi-game patcher is called Station Launcher, and while it does work for many people and we are still provide developmental end support for it, we do recommend making the transition to our latest LaunchPad. And I highly recommend the Full version that you just transitioned to.
