Zone through Qeynos itself seems fine for me. However, when accessing Down Below I hear the water then the client crashes at the point of adding a character to the map. Restarting the game, character select indicates the character is in Down Below. Attempting to log in with the character results in additonal crashes.

I logged in with a second character and attempted Down Below from a different part of Qeynos. Same result. The two characters in Down Below are currently unavailable.

Just happened to my character also. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Just updated Nvidia graphics card, and a DX update I saw. Will try again tomorrow. I also have a Windows XP machine, may try on that and see if I can get her out of Down Below at least.

Same issue here, but with the Caves in Qeynos. Crashes to desktop when adding character to zone.

Using no custom ui, cleared cache already and other characters in different areas load fine.

edit: works again now.Used the launchpad to scan gamefiles and turned video settings to extreme (read something about an old directx error, likely unrelated). Not sure what did it, but the area loaded again.

I just posted about the same problem in the link below and I've done a ticket.

As above, I have disabled my custom UI, tried both SM1 and SM3.0, cleared cache and done a full file scan from the launcher. My system consists of the following, Win 7 64bit with an ATI 6870 + 11.5b cats.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=501330

UPDATE

I believe I have found the problem, I turned GPU shadows off, restarted the client and I'm able to zone in and out repeatedly. Just to test I turned GPU shadows back on and I crashed the first time I tried.

So GPU shadows seem broken in that zone.

I will try that tonight, although, I was able to log in on an XP machine, and the zone played fine. I will check GPU shadows next time I play though.

I have the same problem in The Ruins Of Varsoon, disabling GPU shadows works there also.

Feel free to PM me a list of zones where you crash due to GPU shadows. If I've missed any this will help make sure every instance is reported. I've been able to confirm a handful myself as time allows.
