Hello, I recently switched from WoW to EQ2 im in need of some AA solo leveling builds that would be the best for my necro. I am currently F2P until the free gold membership runs out. The reason i chose a necro as my first class is because i heard that its a an easy class to level due to the siphons and hp leeches etc. If any vet Necros could give me some pointers it would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, as you are right now playing EQ2X you are on what amounts to a separate game. The Freeport server is the only F2P server at this time, and you cannot transfer a character from there to the paying subscription EQ2 servers.

I don't run a Necromancer but you will want to put your AA points into Tainted Heals for sure. With the right combination of spellcasting at the right times, you can keep your pet alive through quite a bit of incoming damage.

As for add-ons: EQ2 is very unlike Wow in this respect: the few add-ons you will want or need are found at EQ2interface such as EQ2maps (essential in my book), custom UIs, and various parts of UIs that some folks like as extras that the stock UI may not provide. For instance, I use ProfitUI as they had healer-friendly interfaces long before EQ2 added such functionalities to their own UI.

If you are interested in parses, download Advanced Combat Tracker according to its directions. Very handy tool; there is a learning curve to best make use of it but it's extremely popular.
