I think it's time for some coercer love again.

Illusionists needed a dps buff after SF. However, the changes made to Chromatic Shower have left Shock Wave in the dust. There is a massive imbalance between the signature AE abilities of the two enchanters. At the very least, could you do something to improve the reuse of Shock Wave?

Also, coercers have several class-specific talents that are of questionable use. Coercive shout, intellectual remedy, and thought snap come to mind. It would be nice if these could be tweaked to make them more useful in DoV or simply replaced with better talents.

Reuse on Shockwave is so easy to cap. Not only w/ AA - but also w/ gear. Most think the Shockwave focus on raid gear - which gives reuse - is useless. (I agree)

But yeh - our buffs pale in comparison to illy buffs...

Reuse is capped at 50%, right? At best, this brings the reuse for shock wave down to ~23s. Capped, the reuse for color shower would be 10s.

For encounters, there is a staggering difference in damage potential between the two spells. Comparing the base damages, color shower can do an average of 5254 damage per cast, while shock wave can do an average of 2080 damage per cast.

Illusionists also get better talents for color shower than coercers get for shock wave. Specifically, illusionists get talents to increase the damage of color shower by 20% and add damage on termination. Coercers get talents that reduce the cast speed and reuse of shock wave (a waste since under optimal conditions for both classes the illusionist can cast color shower twice as frequently), increase its damage by 10%, and increase its critical damage by 5%.

They don't need to add anymore reuse speed for shockwave, what they need to do is reduce it's actual base reuse speed so that it is comparable to what Illys get.
