I am having trouble with the screen going completely black when my charater is submerged in water.

I'm also getting this flashing whenever I complete a tradeskill combine or complete part of a quest (when you get the reward notification text, such as doing the Far Seas mission where you collect items - every time I pick up a clam, for instance). The screen goes totally black for a split second each time and it's disorienting.

I'm wondering if it's my drivers. I'm using the 11.5, which are the latest. Is there a version that's more stable at the moment?

Edit: Well, I rolled my drivers back to the 10.12 and problem solved. I wonder why the 11.5 causes so much trouble?

Thanks!

Thanks for updating this. I do apologize for not getting back to you during the weekend. We are doing a lot of testing on the latest ATI drivers and the verifiably functional older drivers. More information to come when it gets to me.

On a 5970 with 11.5 hotfix (amd_catalyst_11.5b_hotfix_8.85.6rc5_win7_may25) on Win7 x64 if I:

Disable Crossfire and force 8x MSAA using the Oblivion profile it's pretty stable, and about as "fast" as I've saw it run, with MSAA being next to no performance hit.

Krizani do you use Crossfire?

(Multiple video cards.)

So sorry I didn't see this till now!

The latest patch (leapers & gliders) seems to have hosed my AA so I'm trying to figure out how to re-enable it since that checkbox in the Options menu is now gone. The only way I can get AA is to use Shaders 3.0 and I don't care for it.

No, I'm not using Crossfire and I think I'll give your suggestion a try with the newer drivers and the Oblivion profile.

Belated thanks for your post!
