CONTEST: The Norrathian Cake Off

<h2><a title="Norrathian Cake Off" rel="bookmark" href="http://kithicor.org/2011/05/norrathian-cake-off/">Norrathian Cake Off</a></h2><p><img title="jethalcake" src="http://kithicor.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/jethalcake-620x250.jpg" width="620" height="250" /></p> <p>As many of you know, Jethal's got into Baking lately.. and I know that several of our fans are cooks and bakers as well.</p><p>I want to see what kind of cake artists we have around here.  Show off your skill and your love of EverQuest2 by joining me in making a Norrathian Themed Cake!  Sculpt a masterpiece, Decorate a sheet cake, whatever favors you want.  From the Simple to the Elaborate, I want to see it all!  But, more importantly, do it for the fun of it.</p> <p>Every cake submitted will be showcased here, on kithicor.org.  Elquin and I (and possibly some folks from SOE) will pick the most creative cake!  The winner will receive..</p> <ul><li>A Foam EQ2 Knight figure, from the 2010 Fan Faire</li><li>Sony Station Flashlight Pen (which shines the "Station" logo)</li><li>An EQ2 "City to the City"</li><li>And a black (what i assume is fake leather) Journal!</li></ul> <p>The contest runs from May 27th 2011 until June 20th. <p>So I finally took the time to do my cake (I had some cream turning old that needed to be used fast hehe).Here is the Age's End Prophecy cake!</p><p><img src="http://guilhemette.ambroise.free.fr/eq2/images/gateau/above.jpg" /><img src="http://guilhemette.ambroise.free.fr/eq2/images/gateau/side.jpg" width="479" height="333" />So, yummy part: what is it?Bottom layer is a crunchy praline (praline, milk chocolate and a crispy biscuit broken into crumbles, called "crepe dentelle" that can be found here <a href="http://www.locmaria.fr/" target="_blank">http://www.locmaria.fr/</a>) Middle layer is a lime bavaroise (egg yolk, milk, cream, sugar, lime juice, lime zest, lime extract, gelatin, green coloring)Top layer is a milky mix with egg yolk, milk, white soft cheese, cream, sugar, powder almond and almond extract Decoration on top is cocoaSwords and Chesith stones are mint candies.What does it shows?All this represents the Prophecy of Age's End. The cocoa decoration on top is the diagram of Age's End Prophecy. It was first seen in Palace of the Ancient Ones in Moors and could be activated by a player wearing both soulfire and claymore after killing Anashti'Sul. there are actually 2 circles, one blue and one red that overlap. It was then visible during the live events where Lucan D'Lere was abducted and Antonia Bayle attacked, prior to Sentinel's Fate. The soulfie and Claymore where then hidden among illusions in the circles.Finally, it's the diagam described in the prelude event to Velious by the Duality in Paineel. All this is described at some length in this thread, "<span>A new part of the Theer Prophecy revealed!"</span>, history and lore section: <a href="list.m?topic_id=453761" target="_blank">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=453761</a> Swords are the Soulfire to the left and the Claymore to the right. As they where linked to the diagram above, it was logical to put them there, especially as they're an important part of said Age's End Prophecy (used to fight Rohen Theer) The stone of Chelsith, at the bottom, is part of the Shissar calendar (calendar of Age's End Prophecy) and shows the blue diagram used above.Here we are!Hope you enjoyed it!</p>
