Chat window loses focus when windows pop up on screen

<p>Since coming back to EQ2, I've been having an annoying issue when using chat.</p><p>If I am talking in any chat channel, and a window pops up like trade or really just about anything, chat loses focus. Since I am still typing a few keys before I realize it, it causes all kinds of windows to pop up on screen, and sometimes even selects options, answers quests, etc that I definitely did not want to do.</p><p>I don't remember this happening before or at least not so bad.</p><p>Is there some way to tell EQ2 to not take keyboard focus away from chat when game windows pop up?</p>

<p>This happens to me too when a loot box pops up or a trade window.  It doesn't happen often enough for me to notice it.</p><p>I'll see if theres an option to toggle that may prevent this but I am not immediately aware of one.  If the community has any suggestions please feel free!</p>
