Hiya,

I was trying to figure out how to access the Test Server using the latest launchpad available. I reformatted my computer over the weekend and had previously used the station launcher to access test. In my EQ2 directory there's no longer a test folder with a test launchpad for me to use either. I'm not seeing any options to switch versions on the regular, so I'm just curious how those of us using this new launcher can access test?

As a side note, I'm using the full version where you download the whole game, not streaming. For fun, I just downloaded the streaming to see if it had a version of the test launchpad in it's directory, but it does not either.

Thanks for the help!

hi. i just installed test on another computer. there's information on using it without launcher but i found it to be complex.

therefore, i installed station launcher, clicked "switch server" immediately after it started patching EQ2 and then immediately logged out. (you might have to close launcher via your taskbar.) next, i restarted station launcher, it was no longer trying to patch EQ2 and it brought me directly to test server. (the reason why you dont want it patching EQ2 is bc it will install a 2nd version of EQ2 on your hard drive. unless you have a huge HD, then you wont want two versions.)

here's a thread that i started on installing test without launcher. theres some info that you might find helpful, if you chose to do it the hard way.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=499381

It will only try installing a second copy if you let it. If you go into preferences and change the paths to point to where your existing files live it won't feel the need.

I ended up using the station launcher pad to get access to the Test Server, but I was under the impression that Station Launcher was no longer fully supported by the EQ2 team? Shouldn't there be an alternate, and yet just as easy, way to access Test?
