So much for earning anything in this game. Let's just buy all the good looking stuff! Heck, we don't need no sense of earning anything good...

Sad that even after 2 weeks on sabatical that efforts are being focused on how to exploit more $OE bucks from us. Whatever happened to earning items? Or crafting them?!? Is $12 to $15 per person, per month not enough?!?

There are plenty of mounts inthe game that are far out of reach for any beginning players...and lots of those mounts look abslolutly amazing to boot.

You don't have to buy the mount if you dont want to. You can set a goal to get one of the many many faction mounts that exist in the game.

It's all a matter of choice.

Edit to add: However I will say that the new mount looks really nice. ^_^ Good work art department!

A whole new design is very cool. I think that it would be good to use this as new mobs, too.The number of new monsters will increase rapidly if this method is possible. It is a conception of the reversal.

I always found it a bit odd that Fleshrender was the only enemy who uses the new player gryphon model, while the enemy gryphons in eastern wastes, and the transport gryphons in velious all use the old world model.

SOE is making money off the Marketplace and therefore it will stay around. I did not mind the idea of paying for new dungeon content as we got a lot more bang for the buck and you still had to earn the loot. This stuff is just fluff, but it takes away from earning the shiny new thing. A good example were how Everquest 1 Epic weapons really distinguished that you earned something in game and could show it off. Now, fluff gets sold and takes away from the 'epic feel' of earning the items.

Anyhow, mute point. I've played EQ1 and EQ2 since they were released and no other MMO has captivated me as much. I think simply because of nostalgia. For myself, it's just trying to protect a game I've spent so much time in over the last decade.

That's not wow. It's not the same color palette and the features aren't exagerated enough. To me it's obviously Bebop from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Look at that face.

OMG! Are you people ever going to get over this hatred for the marketplace? It's not going away. Get over it already. If the players didn't buy things from it, it wouldn't keep going. People do, so it does. As long as they keep the items separate and distinguishable, so what? Smokejumper didn't get this at first but I think he does now. Don't put anything on the marketplace that is exactly the same as a quested item and we're fine. Here's how the conversation goes when you see someone with something that looks really cool:

Person 1: Wow, that (insert item here) looks really cool. Where did you get it.

Person 2: Bought it from the marketplace

Person 1: Oh. Nevermind. From this point forward, when I see someone with (insert item here) I'll know they didn't do squat to earn it other than spend the cash to buy it.

Big deal. If some people want to spend cash in the marketplace to increase the money this game takes in, more power to them. The more cash the game takes in, the more chances it will keep going strong and the more chances I don't have to try and find an alternative game (which based on the ones I tried during the downtime is going to be a very hard thing to do).

But as Dennis Miller used to say: That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

It's good to see the devs taking an active role in replying back to your customer concerns. It shows that your not sitting on the sidelines, but actually engaging us and at least seeing our opinions for what they are worth. I know it's hard on you guys because of pressure from Sony after losing billions of dollars over the last 3+ years. I hope Smedley and other investors will buy SOE from Sony if Sony decides to axe it. Would love to say, "Welcome back Verant!"

I really like this mount, but why would i pay real money for a ground mount when i cant even equip it in the appearance slot and still fly? Im sure there are people out there with low level alts , but how about something for those of us that are truly addicted.

Editted for really bad pre-coffee grammar
