Launcher Unable to Retrieve Assets From Server

<p>Hi everyone, I've been trying to get Everquest running on my friend's PC, but every time I start up the Everquest 2 Launcherpad (streaming or full download) it gives me a message that the launchpad can't retrieve the server and that I should retry in a few minutes.  I've reinstalled the launchpad several times, and I've even tried to get the Station Launcher to work, but no luck.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!</p>

<p>Are you launching either as an admin by right-clicking the game icon and selecting Run as Admin?</p><p>Also make sure any running Firewall or Anti-virus is configured properly to exclude our game, or you can disable them entirely.</p>

<p>I have tried both running it as admin and deactivating firewalls, neither have worked.  I have also tried using the Station Launcher, and the game has downloaded fully, but it won't start when I click launch game.  Any more suggestions for either of these issues would be great, thank you for the reply!</p>

<p>I am seeing network errors.  You are hitting our servers but there is a great deal of lost data due to socket errors.</p><p>There may be configurations necessary with your router such as port forwarding.  While SOE does not support the use of routers, we do provide the information necessary to configure your device yourself.  You will need to consult your owners manual or the provider of the device for assistance on configuring it.</p><p><p><a href=" https://help.station.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/23904" target="_blank">[EQII] Firewall and Proxy Information for EverQuest II</a></p></p>
