Launcher not working

<p>On the 15th I logged in, changed password. Since then I cannot get Launcher to launch.</p><p>After I changed p/w it went back to my desktop so I tried to re-launch. Nothing happened, no launch screen.</p><p>I have been able to play by using EQ2Map Updater which, after a few seconds, launches to the OLD screen launcher. However, I noticed that the Task Manager was running the Main launcher in background.</p><p>Can Sony please check this out? I know of one other person with same problem but we had posted on a different forum.</p>

<p>In old SoE fashion you'll have to wait for them to release a patch to patch the patcher so your launcher would work, if not just wait for another patch to patch the previous patch that suppose to make the initial patch work, I hope I'm making as much sense as SoE did.</p>

<p>I press the eqii to launch game and all i get is a startup window that never opens still.</p><p>What do i need to do to fix this.Cant play game cause it never opens <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>thanks much</p>

No CPU usage, no network activity. Like it's just lazy or something.</p><p>Aaaaaaand trying to launch the game directly elicits this little gem:</p><p><img src="http://members.iinet.net.au/~rathbeck/Capture.PNG" /></p><p>I've been playing no problems all week.  Nothing has changed with the PC.</p><p>EDIT: Just confirmed the launcher issue happens on not only my gaming PC, but also on my bootcamped MBP.</p><p>EDIT 2: After roughly 50 attempts (yeah, nothing better to do this evening), the patcher finally got past the initial screen.  Had one instance where it threw a bunch of javascript errors, then a couple tries later, it went all the way to the screen with the "Play" button.  Hooray.  It started in on a ~52MB patch, but stalled with around 7MB to go.  Hit play, and have been waiting ever since (about 15 minutes now) for the first EQ2 splash screen to come up.  Client is seemingly running, network usage was heavy (now only blips), and the titlebar reads: EverQuest II (May 11 2011 12:14:00) USER OPTIMIZED: SOEBuild=7628L (Not Responding). Happy days. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/1cfd6e2a9a2c0cf8e74b49b35e2e46c7.gif" border="0" /></p><p>I should add that my internet connection, for all other purposes (including other online games) is fine and dandy.</p>
