Unable to contact login server

<p>I am using Win XP with launcher version application 442, Shell 3.0.0.223 Plug-In 151. </p><p>When I double click on the EQ2 icon (that points to everquest2.exe) it asks me for my station ID and password.  I enter them, click login, and after a moment it hangs and gives the error message "Unable to contact login server.  Please try again later."  This account logs in fine on my other computer, and other Internet applications are working on the affected machine.  I disabled AV and firewalls, still same issue.  I get the same error when I try launching from Launchpad.  Each time, it wants me to install (well, reinstall Flash.)  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling EQ2.  When I downloaded the streaming install file from everquest2.com I still get the same error.  Come on SOE, I know your software is a steaming pile of crap, but I paid for it and I'd like to use it.</p>

<p>Have you recently updated to IE9?</p><p>IE9 has a default option set that will result in this error even if there is absolutely nothing wrong with your network.</p><p>Open Internet Options from the control panel and move to the advanced tab.  Scroll down to the Security section and UNCHECK the option that reads "Do not save Encrypted Pages to Disk".</p><p>Close the LaunchPad and try again.</p><p>I am more than happy to help you with any issue that you run in to, but being vulgar about it will result in a locked thread.  Please keep that in mind.  I am simply here to help you.</p>
