May has been a tumultuous month for EverQuest II with the extensive downtime that all SOE games have experienced. The game came back online the evening of May 14th and all players are being treated to a week-long run of events. We can all enjoy double experience, city festivals and more this week on EQ2!

Read the May Events Spotlight at ZAM!

First!

While I am happy to be back in game, these lacklustre "events" are a bit of a joke.

Two weeks sitting around and the only effort they could make is to tick 3 server boxes to "make good".

Not good enough guys, please try harder.

I have been here since 2004 and considering that both my wife and I have been subbed all that time, brought every expac and the two adventure packs, the total cash we have dropped could buy us a playstation 3 several times over. PS3 users are still being given 2 x free games as I understand it which will have a combined retail value of approximately $120.00 or there abouts. I don't think double xp is a good balance to this!

Here was some good news regarding the Research Assistant:

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=500155

Just wish they would have done something similar to this instead of double exp week. Don't get me wrong, I love double exp week, but we missed 2 weeks of gameplay, not just one. Also, by giving us 200 percent xp potions (i.e. to avoid stacking issues with other potions) we could have used these at our own liesure. As it stands now, we get 1 week of double exp (which several of us can't really use due to real life events) in place of being denied 2 weeks of gameplay. I'm I missing something here? How does that add up?

I have the same issue of actually having a job and family etc so I can't make any use of the double xp either!

Why couldn't it have been pots?
