<p>Are you using Station Launcher or the EQII specific LaunchPad?</p><p>If you are using Station Launcher, there is a known issue with having it installed under ProgramData for many customers. You could try moving it to the root C: drive instead. However, I do recommend making the transition to our LaunchPad when time allows.</p><p><a href="http://launch.soe.com/eq2" target="_blank">[EQII] LaunchPad</a></p>

<p>I have both station launcher and the actual launch pad through EverquestII client.. the launcher won;t decompress and the client keeps tellingme that I need to run it as admin (it is) wither ok to quit or cancel to ignore .. if I ignore it continues with the update but cancels "download cancelled" just before it is finished.. I have Windows Vista for an OS.. I have not had a problem before we were down for all this time.. suggestions other than the launch pad?</p><p>thx =)</p>

<p>Our support for Station Launcher is very limited as we are in the process of phasing it out and transitioning everyone to our LaunchPad.</p><p>Unfortunately, short of developmental side fixes which will still occur, if this workaround does not resolve the issue the only other suggestion I can make is to use the LaunchPad linked above.</p>

Thx Joshua.. Like I said.. I have tried from directly from the client play.exe.. you know the one that comew with the game on download? I also tried to go to that link you put up an dit took me to a page with a whole lot of different links like I had done a search on a frontier search engine.. would love to get the LaunchPad if that would work.. am really frustrated.. Have not even tried the station launcher since the first time it wouldn't work.. but seriously? I cannont even get on with te actual game play.exe.. that is the one that is saying download cancelled.. not the station launcher.. do you have support for the game client?

Ok.. JoshuaM.. I think I figured it out.. there is another admin check box that has to be checked.... you have to right click on the EQII shortcut and click on propertes... under shortcut click on the advanced tab at the bottom right and then click on the "run as administrator" .. hit ok at the bottom and then hit "apply".. it will ask you to confirm that you started this action.. then you can use the shortcut that came with the EQII client.. Thanks for the help, and I hope that this helps others with the same problem.. =) respectfully.. JustMeGod

<p>I assumed you were already running it as an admin when you said "<span style="color: #cae0e6; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">that I need to run it as admin (it is)"</span></p><p>What you set permenantly runs it as admin without having to right-click and select Run as Admin every time (which is what you would have to do without setting that option).</p>
