Not under aged just timing out right after I hit login. I tried typing a different password and it failed.

I think the login server is not the problem. I could log into eq2 player whch I belive is the same server. It seems to be the connection to the update server.

I tried pulling up a character profile on EQ2 players. Got a blank screen. so the character select screen might be the culprit. So .. had I gotten in 15 minutes earlier I'd probably be playing now. heh

A little update.

I think this is indeed a question of SOE repairing things. VIA the EQ website I CAN log into my station account.

And I CAN enter the account management screen. But nearly ALL options give me an error.

So hopefully it'll be fixed in a few hours!

indeed. If i try to launch from the patcher i get operation timed out. If i bypass the patcher it tells me incorrect log in. If i use the new patcher i get " You are underage and not authorized to access this account" Seems lots of people on face book are having the same issues. I am able to log into the forums So i know my password is not incorrect. However Even though others are creating and responding to thread I am unable to even though im logged in. Ive tried logging in and out. Ive tried to reset or access the billing portion of my account from station .com and it returns an error each time. I left myself logged in last night just for this reason in-case something brought login servers down or what not .. but woke up to a log in screen anyhow this morning.

RECAP:

Launcher 1.0 gives an Operation Timed out Error

Launcher 3.0 gives the Underage message

Bypassing the launchers gives Incorrect Password message (even though passwords been reset and I was logged into the game last night)

I also logged into the game and checked several characters out (researching). It worked fine last night. Now it doesn't work for the main computer or the laptop. My husband is also having the same log in problem. We both logged into our SOE accounts and were able to access all aspects of that web page. However, we can't get into the game now.

Another here getting the "unknown error". Using Station Launcher in Windows 7. Was able to go in, change my password, but when trying to launch game I get the unknown error. I've checked the new password by logging into my account on the website and it is correct. I don't have the EQ2 patcher so am stuck for now. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

Well, when I click there, I try to change my password and it gives me an internal server error. I did manage to change my password earlier, serveral times, by going to the account management page. It may update the actual Launcher before it appears though. And it may continue in the background till it's finished..

For the development team (in the 2.0 Launcher/Updater) the problem seems to be that it hangs in the "Updating Launcher" phase and still shows the application log in screen but just cycles till the update is finished/canceled.
Amnerys wrote:

Still keeping an eye out to see if the issue is better and folks are slowly getting in, or if some are still being gated.

There is still an issue with the v2 client (Station Launcher from http://launcher.station.sony.com). It will hang on the "Updating Files for Launcher" screen but bring up the main window before it finishes. If you try and login before it finishes it'll just hang on "PROCESSING". Additionally it's trying to update the Launcher client every time it is opened (and several times at that).

It can be replicated using these steps:

Close all instances of the Station Launcher (v2 Update Client)

Open the Station Launcher

Wait for the Login screen to appear

Try and Login BEFORE the last update (third update) finishes

Once the update is finished cancel the login and click login again (should work within seconds)

Ok, if you are having issues with teh download cancelling, check your patcher log for the file it is crashing on. Delete that file, and then run a full file scan, and repatch. This seemed to resolve the issue for me.

Running a full scan and then deleting the file did not work. Running the full scan after deleting the affected files allowed me to complete the patching.

Good luck.

Sounds like a lot of folks are getting back in now. Thanks for all the feedback this morning. We found the problem and got it resolved as quickly as possible. Seems like a session database decided to get cranky and stop playing nice. It's been fixed and you should no longer have the timeout issues.
For those still experiencing Launcher issues, please see this thread for the most current info/workarounds: Launcher Patch Failure.

I've posted some new info about making sure you have the latest Windows update, if you are getting the LON dll error.

After many attempts at logging in and receiving many operation time outs, I was finally able to login and patch. After I selected my character and being zoned in, it tells me "retrying server #1" and it just sits there. after about 15 mins I close the game and start it back up, now I have "operation time out" My girlfriend is having the same issues with her client. Any ideas?

Another issue I have is when my character is loading, it either gives me the "Retrying server #1" or it gives me "Creating entities..." it stalls on either part.

"Login server has timed out" message again. Didn't have any issues logging in earlier but was knocked off the server about five minutes ago and am now getting this error on both the launch pad and the old launcher. Also, I can log the forums in but I'm getting the same 'timed out' message when trying to access account from the everquest2 web page.
