Same problem I have. Deleting the file does -nothing-. it keeps downloading a corrupted file.

I keep getting :

There was a problem decompressing the file C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempLegendsOfNorrathLegendsOfNorrath.dll_delt a_10509_126.gz.

Station launcher will try again after 5 seconds.

... and then it cycles over and over. I have restarted the launcher several times as well and it is up to date ( it updated upon the first log-in attempt ).

Make sure you are deleting ...EverQuest IILegendsOfNorrathLegendsOfNorrath.dll ... NOT ...EverQuest IIlp_tempLegendsOfNorrathLegendsOfNorrath.dll_delt a_10509_126

That should force the patcher to download the whole DLL instead of the corrupted delta file.

Had the same problem, deleted the .dll file and the launcher resumed... now it tells me it cannot decompress the file C:ProgramDataSony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverquest IIlp_temppaksexp03_dun_hollow_stump_sg.vpk_delta_1 0455_21. I've deleted this file several times, the updater redownloads it, but it still will not decompress. HELP!

Delete the file it could not decompress in the paks folder (not lp_temp, though you can safely delete this whole folder as well). Same goes for any of these issues.
After many attempts at logging in and receiving many operation time outs, I was finally able to login and patch. After I selected my character and being zoned in, it tells me "retrying server #1" and it just sits there. after about 15 mins I close the game and start it back up, now I have "operation time out" My girlfriend is having the same issues with her client. Any ideas?
