EQ2 insists on download a 50mb file once a day every day

<p>Hiya all. This has got me beat. Once a day every day eq2 insists on downloading a 50mb file beore i can play. I let it download and it goes to the character select screen. Then the dragon pops up and it downloads same file again before i can play.</p><p>Now the curious thing is the file used to be something like 10mb and since patch it has grown to 50mb. This is really anoying and i cant figure out y</p><p>I am running it as administrator</p><p>I have deleted cache</p><p>Funny thing is once its downloaded it i can play fine and log in and out all day without hassle. Next day i have to redownload the file again.</p><p>Any clues as its driving me insane.</p><p>Thx in advance</p>

<p>Which folder do you have Everquest II installed to?  Is it in ProgramData?  Can you reproduce the behavior at will by, say, rebooting?</p>

<p>I have eq2 in a folder called Games on a second hard drive on the pc . I have 2 full downloads of the game and the second is in a folder called games 2. Yes i can recreate it by rebooting the pc. i log into the first page and before i can hit play theres a download..then it hits the screen just before character select and the download repeats itself..on both installs. Its driving me potty.</p><p>Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated</p>

<p>Bump... only other thing i can offer up is the fact it does this after it doe a file scan at the beginning then it downloads the 50mb patch then on its way to character select downloads the same file again..its crazy</p>
