Since yesterday the game won't start when I hit the PLAY button on the LauchPad (streaming version).

By not starting I mean it won't initialize but the game is in memory (I find an Everrquest2.exe *32 program), slowly eating memory (about 200k per second, starting somewhere around 50Mb).

I'm using Win7 64bit. Also I upgraded my nvidia drivers to 270.61 (I have a GTX570) yesterday but since I saw no complain on the boards I doubt it's the reason.

Things I tried:

- starting directly everquest2: I get the following message 'verify="E:liveeq2frameworkrendersrcVeShader.cpp(9837): m_shaderParams.m_pPixelShader 00963e76 0096cf0c"' (with this additional info in verify.log: 'build="SOEBuild=7581L" version="SOEVersionString=2011/4/28 16:48:15" build_type="USER OPTIMIZED" ls_address="none" zone="" loc=" 0.00 0.00 0.00" performance="7" )

- I already got some starting issue at the previous update (also I reason to believe driver is not at fault). Back then I just forced a scan from the LaunchPad options then logged out and back in, it triggered an asset download that fixed it. No such luck this time as it indeed triggers a 22Mb asset download but the game still doesn't initialize

- removed Everquest2.exe to force a download in case of corruption: same result, game doesn't initialize correctly.

I'm pretty much opened to any suggestion at this time...

Anyone else with this issue ?

Edit: typos

I am not showing you actually hitting our servers. This could be indicative of a client/isp side block but there may be a simpler explanation.

The error you are seeing does appear to be video card/driver related. I do suggest reinstalling the latest drivers just to rule it out as a cause. I've also included an update to DirectX just to be thorough. Let's get your video card drivers reinstalled, the directx update installed, and make sure you are starting the LaunchPad as an administrator.

[DX9] June 2010

Alright, seems that the DX9 upgrade clears the issue (the driver reinstall alone had the same result).

Thank you !

I have not been able to log in for a few days. I hit play, and nothing happens. After a few minutes I start the launcher again and the play option doesn't even come up. Went to my other computer and I get the same thing.
