To thank players for their patience during the recent service interruption, we will be hosting special events this weekend across our game portfolio, including a Double Station Cash day on Saturday, April 30th. We are also working on a “make good” plan for players of the PS3 versions of DC Universe Online and Free Realms. Details will be available soon on the individual game websites and forums.

EverQuest II and EQ2X will also be holding a Double XP day on Saturday, from 12:01am PST to 11:59pm PST. This will affect tradeskill, adventure and AA XP.

To redeem game cards for Station Cash, visit the Game Cards webpage. The types of cards below are eligible for SC redemption (denominations may vary). Purchases can also be made through your account, which is always accessible at SOE.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience players may have experienced as a result of the recent service interruption. As a global leader in online gaming, SOE is committed to delivering stable and entertaining games for players of all ages.

Thank you for giving us the one extra day of double SC.

I do have to add this comment though. I find it funny that after SOE has a screwup of this magnitude with their servers that they feel a good way to thank their customers is to ask them to spend MORE money thereby making a profit out of this fiasco. Here is an even better idea. Why not actually reward your customers by giving them something for free instead of requiring them to spend more money. Maybe something like 2000sc free to all active accounts. It wont cost you any money since it is a virtual item and it is a true gift to your customers instead of a money making sceme.

I see how it can be taken that way. We actually had a bunch of requests from players from all games who wanted to take advantage of the Double SC weekend last week, but weren't able to. Remember that SC is enabled in EQII, EQ, Free Realms, Clone Wars Adventures, and in most of our TCG/CCG games (Magic: The Gathering - Tactics, Pox Nora, LON, SWG TCG, etc.)

So the Double XP is for everyone, and the Double SC is just aimed at those who asked for one more chance to get the good deal there.

Aw, only one day of Double XP?

Is there any logic to possibly creating a type of item that can give the same type of double exp as will be given this Saturday? (Thinking of a future deal, here). Kind of crappy to have it announced 2 days before the event, and have alot of people, such as myself, that basically have to work the entire day. Perhaps a /claim window item that is available to any toon, but no trade, and must be consumed within a certain time frame (maybe 3-4 days) which could also work with existing experience pots, and maybe have a duration of 24 hours? The double exp really helps, but ALOT of people miss out due to RL things and just can't be here for it. Also, making the item have a shelf life of 3-4 days would also provide the intended effect (i'm assuming here) of driving population.

Just a thought!

Any plans on bringing back the sc with redeeming a 30 day game card deal? I will never by sc for a game I am paying monthly for but the sc + 30 day was a really good deal for something I am paying for anyway. With the add of prestige houses only available in the cash shop, this would be a great solution for people like me.

So... it's 12:09am and I'm not seeing the double SC that was supposed to have gone into affect. Anyone else have the issue?

Just wondering about the double station cash - it doesn't show as such when you go to purchase it - everything still appears as normal sation cash. Does it appear later in the transaction? I don't wish to continue until I know for sure I'm getting the bonus.

Thanks

Try it from in-game, that seemed to work better for me last time.

Thanks Cyliena. I tried it a few hours later and it worked fine - perhaps there was a little lag between time zones *wink*

I noticed the amounts were now showing in red whereas before they were white. Needless to say I cashed up a little.

Now, is the double station cash only open to the cards? Or does it also apply to purchasing it in game? Always get confused on this and friends have been mistaken before, so I wanna ask before I go march off to a store without knowing the scoop.

It works from ingame just fine. But if I just go to my account out of game it shows no double amount.

Woohoo! I missed the last double SC offer because I was away for the weekend. I'm away this weekend too, but was able to buy SC via my phone. Cool. I didn't see double cash either until I clicked continue. On the page to verify the amount before paying it showed up.

So, went out to buy a station cash card just for the double value, and lo and behold, getting system errors every time I try and enter the code.

Seems kind of amusing to me that the response to a service interruption is a promotion that ends up having a service interruption.

I'm gonna go try it from in-game.
I've entered 2 codes from cards and didn't see double amounts from either. Course I had that issue in the past and the customer service was able to credit the extra points to my account then so looks like I'll have to submit a request taht way again.

I saw the discount earlier going through the game (about 20 mins ago), but now I no longer see it? It's not midnight PST yet, and others have reported the same problem all day, what's going on here? Will I get double SC if I buy but it doesn't show the correct price?Edit: After giving it some time, it still did not show the double amounts I saw earlier - still, I decided to try it anyway, and I gout my double SC (through paypal) without issue, even though the normal price/amount showed on the page.
