I have recently seen a problem with my scout pet pulling the aggro instantly off the tank. That's the situation:When the tank tries to train rooms the mobs very often directly ran to my pet although:- My pet is in offensive stance and is not taunting- My pet is not guarding me or itself- My pet has not attacked any of the mobs before nor does it attack any of them during the training- Me and my pet are far enough away from the tank out of aggro range of the mobs- I have no (at least as far as I know) hate increase on me or my pet. Just the standard buffs, no special hate things that may or may not come from AAsAnd yet you see this: The tank moves closer to the first mobs and keeps on running to the next mobs and instead of running after him the mobs then turn and run directly to my pet and beat it and my pet does nothing in return of course. I have never had such a problem with the pet of my Illy nor with the pet of my Defiler, only with the Conjurer I keep on having this odd problem. I don't want to switch my pet off since it a) buffs my team and b) will be used for attacking once the tank has collected all the mobs.So any ideas what causes this problem and how to get rid of it?

The buffs your pet delivers are not worth the DPS you sacrifice to get those buffs. You will do more DPS as a group using your Mage pet. It's really not even all that close.

Since none of us ever use the Scout pet, we wouldn't have any idea what is going on here. One workaround you might try is putting your pet in Dimensional Storage.

Yeah guys I know - everyone in the forum hates the scout pet. I have realized that but it's a very single-minded attitude. So, if everyone is out there using the scout pet actually and has had similar problems and maybe knows an answer, feel free to let me know.

Hmm. Mystic Dogdog pet has the exact same issue. Give the choice between beating on my mystic or her pet the mobs will go for the pet every time. This is with the pet in passive mode too.

Necros are experiencing ridiculous pet aggro problems as well. Even on grey mobs where nobody has engaged. I've noticed it primarily on the mage pet though. Heres a thread on it here http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=501780

Nobody seems to care though, I've just about had it and am about to give up.

Go here for the discussion on strange pet aggro issues: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=507006

As for the scout pet, hooray for a necropost. However it is an undisputable fact that the scout pet is inferior in every way to the mage pet. The buffs that the scout pet provides do not, in any circumstances, make up for the significant loss of DPS when using it over the mage pet.
